Subject: Hallelujah!
Dear Dave Holloway,
Thank you for coming to The Creative Circus to speak to us about making it in the advertising world. I got a lot out of it and left feeling inspired.
I noticed that you used the word “Hallelujah” several times during your speech. I’m not sure if you’re aware of “The White Rapper Show” on VH-1, but you should be. There’s this guy on the show by the name of “John Brown” and every time he makes a statement he thinks is worth recognizing, he says “Hallelujah holla back.” Perhaps you could incorporate this gem of a phrase into your speech if you want more street “cred” with the kids. Just a thought.
Anyway, thank you for your time. I have a great amount of respect for you and I hope you’ll be back to speak at The Creative Circus soon. In which case, I’d like to pick you up at the airport. I will not, however, dress in a clown suit like you did for Luke Sullivan years ago. That’s absurd. I will consider wearing a beard, though.
Hallelujah holla back,
Liz Cartwright
